PoCKiY and I have decided to join forces so he will be coming over to help work on the site. He will be in charge of maps, some strategy, and anything else he can find. I'll still be doing the news and the battle stories.
New Stories Coming
When I have the time(maybe
later today), I will put up about 8(!!) new battle stories. These
are elete stories and will make for some very good reading.
New .SCM of the Week
The latest .SCM
of the Week, Jacob's Ladder, is a fairly good one on one ladder map.
It's a 96x96 Jungle World map, and it takes a while to rush on because
of twisting path you must take to the other corner.
StarCraft #1 Seller for April

Another Starcraft Expansion pack has been announced at www.cdmag.com:
WizardWorks announces authorized add-on pack

WizardWorks says that its authorized StarCraft add-on pack, Retaliation,
should be out next
month. Retaliation will be about the battle between the Protoss, Zerg,
and Terrans to control
the argus stone, an ancient and powerful artifact found on the planet Aridas.
Retaliation will have 30 missions (each of the three races will have a
10-mission campaign) and
will also include new multiplayer maps, new heroes, and improved AI. It
will have a suggested
retail price of $19.99

PCGamer reviewed StarCraft this month and gave it 92%. They also included a Protoss strategy section in the magazine, promising a Zerg and Terran strategy section in the coming months.

Welcome to the StarCraft Sanctuary. For you uninformed souls, Starcraft
is the latest real-time strategy game from Blizzard, the makers of Warcraft
II and Diablo. Originally planned for release in February '97, the game
was redone and put off. Currently, it is scheduled to be released in late
January '98. Starcraft is likely to be THE game of 1998. With beta testing
beginning in early January, I was one of the first people to sign up and
was chosen at random as one of the 1000 lucky beta testers. This inspired
me to make a page about the game. As the military leader for your species,
you must gather the resources you need to train and expand your military
and lead them to victory. With 30 unique missions and three different campaigns,
it is likely to bring hours of enjoyment. Please enjoy this sight and sign
